2520                  Exceedingly Rare 1926-7 Dennison Devil Head Diecut
I had been looking for this diecut for nearly three decades, having seen it in some article around 1990. A little over a year ago I acquired a collection that had a handful of this exceedingly rare diecut. (I kept one for sure!) Dennison produced this only for the 1926 and 1927 seasons. They assigned it a stock number of H444 and weirdly classified it as a “large cardboard cut-out,” while also reporting its height as 5”. This diecut measures ~5.5” high by ~3.25” across with deep coloration. There are ripples to both horns.
