Lot 86                  1920s Perched Owl Crepe Paper Apron
This crepe paper apron depicting a perched owl against a background with bats was produced during the 1920s and perhaps as late as 1935. There is a strong likelihood that Dennison made an arrangement with C.A. Reed of Williamsport, PA, to allow them to use Dennison crepe paper designs in the form of aprons. This apron measures ~20.5” high by ~17.25” across. I have seldom seen an apron in better condition. I see only one small hole along the right black border, remarkable for such a fragile item. It will be shipped folded along existing lines.
