Lot 96                1920s German Spherical Noisemaker
This ball-shaped noisemaker was produced in Germany during the 1920s. There is something inside the sphere (perhaps rice) that makes a pleasant sound when moved or shaken. One side shows a very confident devil strutting along with his pitchfork. The other shows a snarling cat. It measures ~3.25” in diameter. Most of the original orange paper holding the two halves together has long gone, although the halves are sturdily attached. I have never seen this item before.
